Dr. Jennifer Evans Andreola, RPh, PharmD (EMSoP’03)
Global Program Regulatory Director, Global Health - Regulatory Affairs, Novartis Pharmaceuticals

Dr. Evans Andreolais a pharmacist by professional training and received my BS and PharmD degrees from Rutgers University. She is a registered pharmacist in the state of NJ and currently work in the pharmaceutical industry within regulatory affairs. After graduating from Rutgers, she worked as a retail pharmacist for Walgreens for many years and completed a post-doctoral residency with Aventis pharmaceuticals in Evidence-based medicine and global drug information. Upon completion of her post-doctoral program, she transitioned into regulatory affairs by working in the area of strategic regulatory labeling. She worked within this role at Schering-Plough, J&J, and Novartis and transitioned over into regulatory affairs strategy in 2014. Her experience includes drug development within various therapeutic areas including respiratory, cardiovascular, metabolism, immunology, hematology, and oncology. Prior to applying to the Ernest Mario school of Pharmacy, she was selected as part of the Project Super Program (STEM Research Program) at Douglass College and completed her first 2 years of undergraduate studies at Douglass College. She is happy to be back on campus and am looking forward to speaking with the current Rutgers student family.
Abbie L. Esterman, Ph.D.
Associate Director Analytical Methods, Bristol Myers Squibb

After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University and Ph.D. from Rutgers University, Abbie completed postdoctoral training and held academic positions at Cornell/New York Hospital and New York University Medical College. Before joining BMS, she worked as a technical leader for several life-science instrument companies promoting and supporting the adoption of new technologies and applications used for drug discovery. Currently, as an Associate Director of Methods and Analytical Development at Bristol Myers Squibb, her responsibilities include: solving challenging technical issues, establishing core-technical platforms, satisfying health authority regulatory expectations, and boosting innovation for separation based methods.

 
Elizabeth Koorie DC'01, M.D., FAAFP 
Medical Director, Hunterdon Family Practice and Obstetrics

Dr. Koorie is a native to New Jersey having graduated from Douglass College magna cum laude with a BA in Biology in 2001. During her undergraduate years, she participated in Project SUPER which jump-started her career in science and medicine. After college, she attended Rutgers - Robert Johnson Medical School. She completed her residency in family medicine and was chief resident at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. She practiced full scope family medicine and taught future family doctors at Hunterdon’s residency program for more than 10 years. Currently, she is the medical director of Hunterdon Family Practice and Obstetrics.
 
Hailey D. Zito
Student Moderator

Hailey D. Zito is a fourth-year student at Rutgers School of Nursing and has earned the Certificate in Latino and Caribbean Studies. She is the Secretary for the Mexican American Student Association. Outside of class, Hailey works as a Patient Care Technician at Saint Peter’s University Hospital. This summer, Hailey completed the 2022 Rutgers Equity in Action Internship (EASI) hosted by Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. During this experience, she worked at two Permanent Supportive Housing facilities. She is interested in pediatrics, as well as working in a community setting.

Christine Oller, or Chrissy, is a Student Services Advisor at Rutgers University One Stop Student Services Center. Chrissy is a Douglass alumna from the class of 2016 and 2020 graduate of Monmouth University with a Master's in Student Affairs and College Counseling. Chrissy’s area of expertise is widespread across different areas of student affairs: financial aid, student accounting, registrar, career services, advising, transitional assistance, and friendly conversation! Evelyn J. Rosa, Ed.M.
Director, New Brunswick Center, Middlesex College

Evelyn J. Rosa is the Director for Middlesex College New Brunswick Center. She completed a double major in Sociology and Spanish Literature at Douglass, followed by a master's in education at Rutgers University. She has been recognized for her extensive work in the community. Evelyn sits on boards and advisory committees focusing on reducing food insecurity, creating employment and educational opportunities for youth and adults, and education about healthy relationships as a tool for reducing domestic violence. She developed the E.M.P.O.W.E.R. program (Encouraging Mentoring Peers on Work and Education Readiness), a college preparation program for first generation college students, a program that is entering its 13th year. In this program, students from Middlesex and Rutgers mentor high school students.
 
Jameelah R. Wright
Head Teacher and Assistant Director, Three Stages

Jameelah R. Wright is the Head Teacher and Assistant Director of Three Stages Learning Center, and the founder of The Urban Flower Project, an independent early childhood research organization. She is a doctoral candidate in the Teacher Education and Teacher Development program at Montclair State University. Her research interests include the Professionalization of the Early Childhood Workforce and Critical Childhood Studies. In 2021, Jameelah was awarded Teacher of the Year by the New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children (NJAEYC), and was recognized as a Child Care Hero by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) in 2022.

Melanie is a fifth year associate at an intellectual property law firm. She focuses her practice on patent prosecution, claim analysis, and freedom to operate opinions. Being an attorney is her second career after teaching high school physics for four years.
 
Kelly Hwang, Esq.
Partner, Lerner David

Kelly Hwang is a member of the firm’s executive committee and helps lead the firm’s chemical and pharmaceutical teams. She manages the IP portfolios for several Global Fortune 500 companies. Kelly has 20 years of experience in all aspects of IP, including patent procurement, post-grant proceedings, clearance opinions and due diligence, as well as pharmaceutical patent litigation brought under the Hatch-Waxman Act. Throughout her career, Kelly has leveraged her ability to convey complex technologies and legal issues in a simple-and-straightforward manner to develop creative legal solutions, which help her clients obtain favorable outcomes.
 
Karimah Munem, Esq. DRC'15
Associate Attorney, Riker Danzig LLP

Karimah Munem is an attorney at a New Jersey-based law firm and proud 2015 graduate of Douglass College. While attending the University of Pennsylvania Law School, she served as a legal extern at a federal prosecutor’s office where she developed her interest in criminal law. The experience also highlighted the importance of understanding all aspects of prosecution through judicial clerkships. Karimah previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. Next fall, she will begin a federal clerkship at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, biking, and international travel.
 
Victoria T. Salami, Esq.  DRC'13
Federal Law Clerk to the Honorable Susan D. Wigenton in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey

Victoria Salami is an attorney licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York. She currently serves as a Federal Law Clerk to the Honorable Susan D. Wigenton in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to her current role, Victoria worked as a litigation attorney at Fox Rothschild LLP, a national law firm, representing clients in a wide array of commercial and business disputes. Her prior work on behalf of the ACLU of New Jersey has prompted the New Jersey Supreme Court to order the Department of Children and Families to reexamine a child abuse case that highlighted a structural flaw in the system. She was also involved in a cutting-edge case before the New Jersey Supreme Court examining cellphone privacy rights under the Fourth and Fifth Amendments. Victoria is a proud Douglass Woman who loves mentoring young women looking to attend college and law school.
 
Kiran Kumaranayakam DRC'23

Kiran is a third-year student majoring in Economics & Political Science with a minor in International Relations and Global Studies. Kiran is currently the treasurer for Rutgers University Pre Law-Society and has previously been a part of Rutgers Mock Trail Association as well as serving as a representative in RUSA. Outside of class, Kiran works part-time at a consulting company as a leadership coach for high school student leaders around the country. After graduation, she plans to attend law school and later work in corporate litigation or in civil litigation.

Olivia Haller SEBS’20
Project Manager - Planning Division, Greener By Design

Olivia Haller is a Project Manager in the Planning Division for Greener by Design. She learned the intricacies of environmental regulation and politics in state government through her experience in a State Legislator’s office and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Her passion is helping institutions achieve their climate resiliency and sustainability goals through dynamic solutions. She recently graduated cum laude from Rutgers University from the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy, Institutions, and Behavior with a minor in Sustainability.
Monica Stewart DRC’15, M.Sc.
Protein Analytics Testing Manager, Modern Meadow

Monica Stewart graduated from Rutgers University in May 2015 with a BS in Biotechnology and is also a Douglass Residential College alumna. In May 2020, she graduated with a MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. During her undergraduate years, she was on the traditional events committee, volunteered with project sunshine, and was a mentor for the Douglass mentoring program for women in STEM fields. Monica has been working in the biotechnology industry for over 7 years with skills ranging from protein purification to liquid chromatography method development.
Marie Thadal DC’84, MBA
Vice President, Sales & Operations, Coptis, Inc.

Born in Haiti, Marie Thadal grew up in NJ where she attended Trenton Catholic High School before enrolling at Douglass College and graduating with a major in Biochemistry. She went on to complete a master’s degree in Cosmetic Science followed by an Executive MBA. She has held many positions of international influence in the Cosmetic industry. At present, she leads the Americas team at Coptis Software Solutions as the company’s vice president of sales and operations. For more than 20 years, she has volunteered with the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC), an organization dedicated to elevating cosmetic science. In 2017, she was elected chair of the New York Chapter (NYSCC), a multimillion-dollar association and the largest chapter of the SCC. Currently, Thadal sits on the executive board of the SCC. Thadal believes that every student, if given the right balance of assistance and encouragement can thrive. In 2018, she founded Itiah Angels for Learning, a nonprofit organization that provides annual tuition, school supplies and educational programs to students at the elementary school she attended in Haiti. One of the nonprofit’s top initiatives is to engage high school and college students in community service while providing them the opportunity to practice their skills and build their resume.
Akino Tomizawa DRC'21
Food Technologist, Flavor Applications Lab, Robertet Groupe

Akino is a Rutgers alumna who graduated in 2021 with her B.S. in Food Science. She is currently a Food Technologist in the Flavor Applications Lab at Robertet Groupe where she utilizes her food science and culinary background to develop and share innovative/trend forward applications. She is also an MBS candidate with a concentration in Food Science. While at Douglass, she was the Vice President for the Sophia Club for non-traditional students and participated in Project SUPER, the BOLD Externship and Summer Leadership Academy. These experiences have fueled her passion for supporting women in STEM and non-traditional student advocacy.
 
Margaret "Maggie" Hillyer DRC’22
Student Moderator

Margaret "Maggie" Hillyer is a transfer student arriving in Fall 2020 after receiving her AS in Chemistry. She is a fifth year student at Rutgers and plans to graduate with her BA in Chemistry, ACS Core with a minor in Science Outreach by the end of 2022. During her first year at Rutgers, Hillyer had completed three of her own research proposals alongside Dr. Gene Hall from the Chemistry & Chemical Biology department. Hillyer is involved with DRC’s Reilly BOLD program, Douglass Welcoming Ambassadors, Career Exploration & Success as a FIGS Peer Instructor for Exploring Chemistry, and Rutgers Women’s Rugby.

Brooke Dubinski 
Preconstruction Manager, Interiors & Special Projects Division - Turner Construction Company

Brooke Dubinski is Preconstruction Manager of the Interiors & Special Projects Division at Turner Construction's New Jersey Office, located in Bridgewater, NJ.  She joined Turner in 2005 as a Field Engineer with the New York Interiors group and continued to take on additional responsibilities, leading her to a role in the Procurement Department where she bid, leveled, and negotiated millions of dollars in subcontract awards. In 2014, Brooke relocated to the Procurement Department in the NJ office, and joined the Estimating Department in 2016.  She was soon promoted to Senior Estimating Engineer, and then, Preconstruction Manager - Interiors & Special Projects Division in January 2022.  Brooke is experienced in complicated and fast paced interiors projects and working closely with operations teams to plan and execute many successful projects. Brooke has been an active member of Turner's Women’s Network, which includes mentoring other women in the company and promotes networking and professional growth.  She also serves on the Executive Board of CoreNet Global NJ Chapter, a global association for corporate real estate and related professionals. She holds a bachelor of engineering in civil engineering and a masters in construction management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Karen L. Ehrenworth
Change Manager, Global Real Estate

Karen has 20 years of proven experience in corporate and residential real estate in roles leading change management and business transformation, as well as supporting C-suite executives. Her professional career includes working for large corporations including Verizon, Johnson Controls, Tyco International, Deloitte, and Trammell Crow. She is a PROSCI certified Change Professional and holds the CoreNet Global MCR.w Designation.  She also holds a BA in Business from Farleigh Dickerson University and is an active member of the CoreNet NJ Chapter.
Cammy Hardison NCIDQ
Director of Interiors, Rotwein+Blake

As Director of Interiors, Cammy is leading the effort to diversify and grow the firm’s interiors portfolio and presence in the design community.  She is a mentor and supporter for the design team members.  From the time of an early age Cammy knew she loved to design and create space.  With 32 years in the interior design and architectural industry she has gained experience working with various business markets on strategies to improve the user experience within the built environment.  Cammy is a NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer who brings a unique combination of strategic and creative vision with design leadership specializing in international and domestic Workplace, Education, Mixed-Use Residential, and Hospitality projects.  As a leader within the design community Cammy has held an adjunct faculty position at the Mercer County Community College in Trenton, NJ.  She is also a former Associate at large architectural firms within New Jersey/New York and has traveled and worked abroad.   At the foundation of her approach, is an emphasis on team synergy and developing an understanding of the key business drivers unique to each client and project challenge.  Cammy is an advocate for the client, striving for the best solutions and design possibilities while keeping focused on the client’s vision and needs. She holds a BA of Architecture degree from Hampton University.
 
Andrea Megnin
Managing Director, Client Solutions Executive, East Region, Project and Development Services - Jones Lang LaSalle

Andrea Megnin is a Senior Executive with JLL’s Project and Development Services at JLL, overseeing project management services in the US, East Region. With over 25 years in the real estate industry, Andrea has broad experience as landlord/developer, service provider and corporate end user.  With a foundation in design complimented by work experience of real estate negotiation, lease administration, procurement, supplier management, project management, construction, workplace strategy, curated experience and facility operations, Andrea brings a unique and comprehensive perspective to her clients. As Head of Real Estate for Panasonic North America, Andrea was the Project Lead for Panasonic’s new headquarters in Newark NJ along with several regional projects across North America. More recently, as the Americas Project Delivery Lead for Barclays, she was the Project Director for the Whippany NJ campus along with various other offices across the Americas.  She holds a Bachelor of Science for Environmental Design/Interiors and she is serves on the Executive Board of the CoreNet NJ Chapter.

Deborah Stoller

Deborah is a Workplace Strategy & Design Manager within the Real Estate Services Team at Deloitte Services LP responsible for developing, driving, and implementing Deloitte’s Workplace Strategy across the US. Deborah is an energetic futuristic thinker bringing over 25 years of design and real estate experience working for award winning design firms and fortune 500 top leading corporations. Her expertise is in all aspects of design with a focus in developing Workplace Strategy programs that align business objectives with the work environment. Deborah is a graduate from CSULB with a BFA in Interior Architecture. She also has her Masters in Corporate Real Estate MCR.w from CoreNet Global and is a certified Prosci Change Management Practitioner. She is also an active member of the CoreNet NJ Chapter.

Jessica Castles Smith is the Communication & Public Affairs Leader, Oncology Organizational & Product Communications at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. She has nearly 15 years of experience across multiple communications specialties, including strategic organizational communications, change communications, executive communications and counsel, media relations and issues management, reputation management, and public affairs. Jessica is known for creating and leading strategic communication programs that drive business goals and protect and enhance corporate reputation. She holds a master’s degree in communication and bachelor’s degrees in English and communication from Rutgers University.
 
Susan Lester DC’70
Executive Producer, Lestermedia

Susan Lester is a media executive and producer/writer/director, recognized for creating innovative, engaging, and inspiring nonfiction programming. She has held a wide variety of senior roles in broadcast television, cable, and digital media. Her work has been seen on ABC, NBC, HBO, CBS, A&E, CNN, and PBS and she has received numerous honors, including three Emmy Awards. Recently, Susan is bringing her expertise to bear as a consultant and lecturer – helping individual and corporate clients to tell their stories most effectively.

Danielle Heuer graduated from the School of Communications in 1993 and earned her masters in corporate communications management from Seton Hall University in 1998. Fast forward to 2022 and she is a Director of Leadership Development at a Communications Consulting Firm, WD Communications. Danielle is passionate about empowering learners to own their career development through improved and strengthened communications skills. This passion has her coaching global clients, executives, TEDx speakers, and students to tell their stories with confidence, credibility, and clarity.
 
Amber Burroughs DRC’23
Student Moderator

Amber is a senior studying journalism, media, and theater. During her time at Rutgers she has held a social media management position for a student organization, become a host on the Rutgers Radio entertainment news show, RU Entertained, and performed in a production at Cabaret Theater. Amber is a proud DRC woman and currently serves as a Red Pine Ambassador. After graduation, she hopes to find her footing in the bustling entertainment industry. She currently plans on working in production for television and film.

Manager, Commercial Insights, Comcast

Jean Burns is a Market Researcher at Comcast. She has enjoyed a career exploring various aspects of business including IT and Sales and Marketing at Johnson and Johnson, professional services, HR and account management. She holds a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering from Rutgers University, School of Engineering and a masters in business administration from Temple University, Fox School of Business. Her educational background has helped her to drive strategic decisions and design solutions address business problems; one of which was highlighted in ComputerWorld magazine for its high return on investment. 
 
Bria Rathway
Campus Relations Manager, Lockheed Martin

Bria Rathway holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Management in Health Services. She started off her career at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as a Nurse Recruiter. She then transitioned into an Early Career Recruiter for Lockheed Martin Space in October of 2019. In November of 2021 Bria transitioned into a Campus Relations Manager for Enterprise Operations at Lockheed Martin. In her current role Bria is responsible for 4 national universities which are Rutgers University, Villanova University, Carnegie Mellon University, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
 
Brittney Yesner DRC’19 M.Eng. 
Systems Engineer, Lockheed Martin

Brittany is a NJ native having graduated from Rutgers University in May 2019 with a BS in Industrial Engineering. She is also an alumna of the Reilly-Douglass Engineering Living Learning Community and Project SUPER. After graduating, Brittany began her career at Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, NJ as a Systems Engineer and participant of the company’s Engineering Leadership Development Program. While working full-time, Brittany earned a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Cornell University. Brittany is passionate about achieving equal representation of gender in STEM fields and facilitates STEM education events with Lockheed Martin and the community of greater Philadelphia/South Jersey.

 
Aisha Agboola DRC’24
Student Moderator

Aisha is a third-year engineering student majoring in biomedical engineering and minoring in medical ethics and policy. She is formally a learning assistant for DELLC Intro to Engineering and a current member of the Reilly Douglass Living-Learning Community. Outside of Douglass, she serves as the treasurer for the Minority Engineering Educational Task. She is also an ambassador for the School of Engineering and a consultant for the Rutgers office of information technology. Samantha Cordova is a Senior AML Manager at Stash but is also the cofounder and Chair lead for Stash’s Latine Employee Resource Group. She graduated from Rutgers University in 2017 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Women and Gender Studies. Samantha is a Douglass Residential College alumna and during her undergraduate years, participated in Feminist Advocacy for Women’s Rights through the United Nations Program as well as part of the Susan N. Wilson NEW Leadership (NEWL) national network of distinguished alumni.


 
Lisa Dolly DC’88
Former CEO Pershing LLC, Current Independent Board Director for Public and Private Companies

Lisa Dolly is a former Chief Executive Officer for Pershing, a BNY Mellon company, where she provided leadership for the Pershing family of companies in 23 locations worldwide. Pershing provides global financial business solutions to advisors, broker‐dealers, family offices, hedge fund and '40 Act fund managers, registered investment advisor firms, and wealth managers, helping them to run their business efficiently and serve their clients effectively. She is a passionate advocate for developing talent and bringing diversity and multiple voices to build the best teams. Lisa has served as chairperson of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Operations and Technology Steering Committee and has served on cross‐industry committees with DTCC. In addition, she volunteers her time with the 30% Club mentoring aspiring professional women. In 2016, Lisa was named one of the "50 Most Influential Women in Private Wealth" by Private Asset Management magazine. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rutgers University and completed the Securities Industry Institute® program, sponsored by SIFMA, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jean has spent over 35 years in the retirement industry including time spent on Wall Street she has been a consultant for the majority of her career, including having her own consulting firm. She currently works for T. Rowe Price working with some of their largest retirement clients.

 
Natalie Borys
Finance Leadership Development Program, Johnson & Johnson

Natalie graduated from the Rutgers Business School in 2021 with a BS in Finance and a minor in Philosophy. There she participated in many student organizations such as Phi Chi Theta – a co-ed professional business fraternity, Women BUILD, RUBY (Rutgers Business for Youth), and the RBS Dean’s Council. Throughout college, she had two internships with Johnson & Johnson. In summer of 2019 she supported the State Planning, Policy, & Tax group. In 2020 she worked with the Global Audit & Assurance team. After graduation, Natalie started as an FLDP (Finance Leadership Development Program) within Johnson & Johnson’s FP&A (Forecast Planning & Analysis) group supporting Consumer Finance and Human Resource budgets. Outside of work, she enjoys working out (either at the gym or in a Pilates studio), reading, and trying new cuisines! 

 
Sara Rubiano DRC’23

Sara Rubiano is a senior in the School of Arts and Sciences majoring in Public Policy with a minor in Economics. On campus, she has been involved with the Eagleton Institute of Politics, New Student Orientation and Family Programs, and Residence Life. Driven by a passion in the intersection of finance and geopolitics, Sara has spent her last two summers with JPMorgan’s International Private bank where she has garnered an interest in market strategy and asset allocation within the context of overall investment portfolios.

Zahra Bukhari DRC'18, MFA

Zahra Bukhari is a designer and design researcher based in New Jersey and New York. She recently graduated from the School of Visual Arts with her MFA in Design for Social Innovation after working for two years at a design firm in NYC. Her work focuses on designing systems and spaces for healing and equity. She uses her cultural influences of storytelling and artistry to inspire imagination within people and communities for a more just and connected world.
Holly Grace Nelson, MLA, Licensed Landscape Architect, BSLA
Program Director, Associate Professor of Professional Practice, Rutgers University

Holly Grace Nelson combines her professional design career with teaching and scholarship opportunities. She maintains an award-winning studio practice in Princeton, participates in American Society of Landscape Architecture (ASLA) activities nationally and at the state chapter level (NJASLA), and mentors students to win professional awards and to present at academic and professional conferences. Because she continues her design work, she extends student learning with educational opportunities to develop a project for a client from concept through installation.

Monica Valdez graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy and has a career in fashion for almost a decade. Working for multiple fast-fashion, contemporary, and luxury retail companies, she has supported their business throughout the product life cycle from merchandising to buying, merchandise planning, and inventory management.

 
Michelle Martinez DRC’23
Student Moderator

Michelle Martinez is a senior at RBS majoring in Supply Chain Management. She was the buying and planning intern for the brand Lele Sadoughi from February to August 2022. Michelle is passionate about intersectional feminism and sustainability. After graduating from Rutgers, Michelle hopes to pursue a job in cosmetics or fashion as a Supply Chain Manager.

Lissette Almonte is a Douglass Residential alumna who graduated Rutgers University with a B.A. in Information Technology and Informatics in May of 2020. In her time at Rutgers, she was a part of #StemHerStoryRU, Women in Computer Science, Douglass DIMACS Computing Corps, and Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Incorporated - Epsilon Chapter. Lissette was also a Web Developer for Douglass Residential College. Currently, she is a Business and Integration Arch Senior Analyst at Accenture. Outside of Accenture, Lissette is a freelance Web Developer. Her goal is to have a successful Web Development business as well as continue to excel in her career at Accenture.
 
Cristina Martin Greysman DC’94
WW Head of SAP, AWS Partner & Alliance Strategy

Cristina graduated from Douglass College in 1994 with a communication degree. Her early interest in computers led her to pursue a career in technology where she has co-founded startups and worked for large corporations, including her current employer, Amazon Web Services, the cloud division of Amazon. Cristina considers herself a “business technologist,” serving in business development, indirect channel sales and strategy roles. She advocates for women pursuing technology careers, serving as chairwoman of the Advancing Women in Technology community at CompTIA, an IT trade association. In 2019, the Philadelphia Business Journal recognized Cristina as a Woman of Distinction for her dedication to business and community. CRN, an industry publication, named her to the Women of the Channel list for channel partner expertise in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Kaylin Nguyen DRC’19
Web Content Author, Sallie Mae

Kaylin Nguyen is a web content author for the Digital Experience team at Sallie Mae. She specializes in content management systems and maintains the website pages to ensure a seamless customer experience. She is a 2019 graduate of the Rutgers University ITI program and proud Douglass alumna. Kaylin aims to be a positive representation for women in technology by creating a more inclusive digital space for all.
 
Catherine Perez DC’01, MS
IT Director, Bristol Meyers Squibb

Catherine Perez was born in the Philippines and moved to New Jersey at the age of 12. She is a Rutgers alumni, she received her degree in computer science from Douglass College and electrical/computer engineering from the School of Engineering. Also, she pursued her masters in information systems from Stevens Institute of Technology and has received certifications from MIT on Cybersecurity and Digital Transformation. Currently, Catherine is an IT Director in Bristol Myers Squibb leading global operations of their Veeva platform. She is a strong advocate of women in technology. Outside of work, Catherine loves to travel with her family.
 
Rishika Bandamede DRC’23
Student Moderator

Rishika Bandamede is a third-year student in the School of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Business Administration. She is an active member of the Computer Science Living Learning Community and Douglass Residential College, as well as member of the Jhoom Dynamix dance team, and secretary for Sangam South Indian Foundation. She is currently the Executive Director for a Hack4Impact chapter and is in the process of establishing it at Rutgers University. Rishika previously conducted research in the Human Computer Interaction lab at Columbia University as well as the Environmental Science lab at Rutgers University. This past summer Rishika was a scholar at Apple's Creative Studios initiative where she researched, developed and prototyped an app to help increase diversity in the creative fields. Rishika plans to work in the industry after graduation and use technology to make a social impact or aid in creative applications!

Kaila Boulware Sykes DRC’15
Co-Founder, Hidden Gems Literary Emporium

Kaila Boulware Sykes is a media and marketing professional, and the co-founder of Hidden Gems Literary Emporium, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting literacy amongst all ages. After graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in Public Health in 2015, she began working with Tree House Cares, where she and her husband started a New Brunswick based food distribution program that has distributed over 3 million pounds of food to date. Years later, Hidden Gems Literary Emporium was founded and since then has made a global impact on children and families around the world. Kaila is also a mom of 2, which she states is her favorite job of all.

I moved to the United States from Uganda (Africa) to pursue a masters degree. Since then, I’ve acquired three masters degrees in communications management from Simmons College in Boston, International Development & African Studies at University of Edinburgh, and an MBA in Energy Management at University of Aberdeen, Scotland. I am a strong advocate for a healthy work life balance and doing things that you have a natural inclination towards, and that has dictated my career and education choices. I’ve worked with a financial institution, the charity sector and now own my own shop in Metuchen NJ. I opened Papillon & Co in 2020 during the pandemic, best career decision I’ve made so far!
 
Amy Moore DC’96
Owner, Moore Statistics Consulting LLC

Amy Moore is a biostatistician and Creative Educator. Ms. Moore has written, ten books in statistics. She has hosted several conferences which focus on assisting students in various statistics topics. Ms. Moore has developed apps she has produced cartoons to help students understand statistics in a creative way. Ms. Moore attended New York medical college and achieved her first Masters in Biostatistics and her second Masters in Public Health Sciences at Penn State University. Miss Moore is the owner of Moore Statistics Consulting LLC a firm in White Plains New York and she is also the founder of Moore Statistics Consulting Foundation Incorporated which supports the initiatives of young statisticians who are pursuing their careers and also the foundation assist other nonprofit foundations in statistics.
Zhyiana Allen DRC’24
Student Moderator

Zhyiana is a third year RBS and DRC student majoring in Business Analytics & Information Technology. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and serve as the Internal Audit Chair, Social Awareness Chair, Chair, International Awareness & Involvement Chair, and Political Awareness & Involvement Co-chair of her organization. Zhyiana is also a member of Black Lives Matter Paterson and is committed to providing means in support of social and economic equity. She has recently interned with PwC under the Consulting Solutions division and will return summer 2023 as an advanced cloud & digital technology consulting intern. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, painting, and hiking.

Tracey Bobadilla DRC’19
Senior Analyst, Public Equity Group

Tracey joined PEG in 2019 and has engaged in strategic planning efforts with Mindful Life Project, Cambridge Community Foundation, and Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University, and also supported research and evaluation projects with the Heising-Simmons Foundation and the Obama Foundation. Prior to joining PEG she worked at Douglass Residential College, in the Office of the Dean of Rutgers University, where she provided support to Senior Administration by assisting with the planning and implementation of programs.

Alexa is a first generation Latina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She has experience in economic development and marketing for businesses across sectors. Currently, she is the Marketing and Outreach Manager for the Tara Dowdell Group. Tara Dowdell Group (TDG) is a strategic public relations and marketing agency driven by a passion for promoting organizations and businesses engaged in social good. Their clients consist of nonprofits, foundations, public sector agencies, healthcare organizations, and mission-driven businesses.  
Freshta Taeb
Senior Refugee Interventionist, at Cornerstone Marriage & Family Intervention

Freshta Taeb is currently a Senior Refugee Interventionist at Cornerstone Marriage & Family Intervention specializing in refugee and youth intervention. She spearheads intervention sessions that include working with clients with PTSD, anger management, and domestic violence. She oversees a team that implements emotional wellness workshops for refugee teens and adults. Freshta performs Afghan cultural competency training for resettlement agencies and has co-written a handbook entitled "Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services for Afghans," a practical handbook for clinical and educational settings. She is also the Managing Director of FT Translation Services. Recently, she began teaching Behavioral Health Interpretation courses to various groups including mental health providers in NOVA and hosts an Afghan TV show that discusses community issues such as civic engagement. Before becoming an interventionist, Freshta advocated for individuals and families through her position as a director for an agency providing culturally sensitive services to the underserved marginalized Middle Eastern and South Asian population. As a subject matter expert, Freshta has advised and lectured on various topics relating to domestic violence, refugee rights, and holistic health. She currently resides in NYC and in her free time enjoys promoting health and wellness within her local community through group fitness courses including Zumba and cardio kickboxing. Freshta has been an integral part of the Cornerstone team for over four years.
 
Dahlia Woodley DRC’23
Student Moderator

Dahlia Woodley is a senior majoring in Communication, specializing in public relations and minoring in Africana Studies. In her junior year at DRC, she served as the Global Village Ambassador of the Africana: Gender & the Black Diaspora House. As a current DEI Ambassador, she is driven by Douglass’s mission to lead initiatives and conversations that wholesomely foster diversity, equity, and inclusion. She enjoys creative writing, playing volleyball, and trying new cuisines in her free time. Dahlia seeks to pursue a career in the non-profit sector and is passionate about health and wellness.
